My husband and I went to Trailside Cafe for breakfast on a Friday morning at 7:30. I'll be up front-there was only one woman working and she was RUNNING. When we walked in, she was ringing up a group of people (including a high School football player), and told us to find a table and seat ourselves. Honestly, there were multiple tables yet to be bused, but plenty of clean ones too. Many tables were full of customers. Once Maria finished ringing up costumers, she literally RAN to the kitchen, coming out with armfuls of food. As soon as she delivered orders she took our drink and food order (menus were on the tables), and she ran off. My husband ordered a pancake combo, and I ordered an Omlette (I think it was the Cataldo). As Maria refilled our coffees, she apologized for the wait (not long) and the dirty tables. Apparently she was the only one scheduled, and the entire high School football team came for breakfast, along with regular customers, and she hadn't stopped running since they opened. Despite this, she was smiling and laughing and had a great attitude. My Omlette... Was probably one of the best I ever had. Tons of sauteed veggies (onions, Bell peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms) plus crispy bacon and cheese-it was wonderful!!!. My husband enjoyed his pancakes, eggs and bacon, and my Omlette came with hash browns and sour dough toast. The food was great, and Maria's positive attitude more than made up for a short wait and some uncleared tables. We will definitely be returning (just not on a game day, where they were obviously understaffed). Overall great experience.

Food was good. Nothing to brag to anyone about but a decent place to have a nice quiet breakfast

Really good breakfast! Omelets are awesome... Pancakes are awesome.... Always hot and fresh of the griddle. It's consistently good . Always the same, always fast, nice size breakfasts. That's huge anymore. It seems like most places are hit and miss anymore. This place.... You know you'll get what you did last time, Everytime.

We LOVE going to the Trailside Cafe in Wallace for breakfast. Think about everything you ever loved about hotel coffee shops - and you've found your spot. Fantastic food, friendly servers and reasonable prices. They open early (6:30am), which side we get up at 4am is a huge bonus. Our regular waitress is fantastic (super long hair) and the food servings are huge, and really reasonably priced. I had the Silver Valley Motherload omelet (but scrambled), my husband had the Big Depot, and we split an order of biscuits and gravy. It wasn't just breakfast Thursday - it was also breakfast for both of us for 2 more mornings (mixing the leftovers together and making burritos out of them). If your local, it's so worth the visit. If you're just passing through, it's just one more thing to love about the Silver Valley, and Wallace in particular.
